Application Window & Weather
A GroundWOW system will deliver without fail, regardless of weather conditions. If a print needs to pause for any reason, our system resumes seamlessly with no visible colour difference, banding, or patchiness. Using pitch coverings and specialised drying equipment, we align with ground schedules, allowing sprinklers to resume just minutes after printing, maintaining both pitch health and timelines.
Weather-wise, we operate in all weather conditions, from sub-zero temperatures and high winds to heavy rain and snow. With over 500 successful activations worldwide, the elements will never get in our way.
Active Drying
We deploy an active e drying infrastructure to always ensure that our work is fully dry before leaving the stadium. This enables stadium routines such as sprinkler cycles to resume immediately and helps to guaranteeing zero paint pick up or transfer from either human or mechanical traffic.
We use proprietary drying equipment and methods that fully dry paint within minutes, even in harsh conditions. Our technology is uniquely calibrated to penetrate deep into infill, ensuring consistent, thorough drying across the entire turf profile. Once dry, our activations withstand TV crews, match day traffic, and even lawnmowers—without disrupting the surface or operational routines of the venue.
Our Proven Removal Process
As part of understanding every single detail of our own proposition, we deconstructed the removal process and created a proven paint removal method, engineered specifically to address the problems of doing this the “old way”. By using electric brushes, low-pressure hoses, turf-safe surfactants, and our innovative Bowdry process, we can fully remove paint from both artificial blades and infill.
Unlike jet washers, our approach eliminates splashback, protects adjacent areas, and prevents paint buildup in the substrate. The brushes redistribute crumb without affecting compaction, while the Bowdry system lifts pigment from the surface efficiently. This method not only preserves the integrity of the turf but also improves drainage. And because our teams work quickly, pitches can return to normal use just minutes after cleaning is complete.
