About the Job

As a Marketing & PR Executive, your role is to tell our story and build the hype by creating engaging content to promote awareness. This will involve creating and implementing marketing campaigns, assisting with social media presence, developing and maintaining relationships with the media, assisting with events, and analysing data to measure the effectiveness of marketing and PR efforts. The goal of a Marketing and PR Executive is to enhance the company's reputation and increase visibility, ultimately driving sales and revenue.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive marketing campaigns and PR stories.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual Marketing and PR targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media organisations and customers.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity to develop effective marketing strategies.
  • Organise and write features, press releases and blogs for the GroundWOW website.
  • Working closely with the team to ensure campaigns and communication is fluid throughout.
  • Supporting the Marketing team with agreed activities.

About You

The key skills and qualifications you have include:

  • Excellent copywriting, capable to embody and enhance our brand tone of voice and appeal.
  • Ability to create exciting, valuable, and buzz-worthy content, using appealing multi-media.
  • Ability to consider aesthetic detail and copy formatting.
  • Be comfortable at the interface between marketing, sales, and customer experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships both inhouse and externally.
  • In depth knowledge of sport is preferred.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Full UK driving license.
